“ Solid, hits the spot. Best bang for your buck if you're tried to be satisfied! Always down for some beer and chic n time! ”
“ Good food at good value. The portions are big enough that my husband and I usually just share one entree and then go get dessert somewhere nearby afterwards. Our usual is the five spice chicken entree with garlic noodles. The chicken has great flavor. The garlic noodles always sound enticing, but they're not quite as garlicky as I'd like, so they don't quite fully hit the spot for me. I do appreciate that the entree comes with a few pieces of broccoli so we don't have to order a whole 'nother vegetable side. We added the imperial roll once; it's just okay. Fried tofu appetizer was good, but was way too much of the same thing for my liking. Would have been better to share amongst 4 people. ”
“ I wasn't planning on coming to this spot; it ended up being a back up to a restaurant I wanted to go to originally, but the line was too long at that place. I'm glad I ended up stumbling upon Chic n' Time as I had a great meal here. I ordered the popcorn chicken as an appetizer and for my main course, I got the garlic butter prawns with garlic noodles. The portions here are generous, and the flavors are on point. The chili powder for the popcorn chicken is really flavorful and added a nice kick to the appetizer. The popcorn chicken bites were pretty tender and had a lot of crunch. The garlic butter prawn dish was on the oily side given the amount of butter they put, but it was good! They also added some broccoli which helped the dish taste just a tad healthier than what it actually is lol. We also had a taro milk tea to share which frankly wasn't that good. Definitely not a place to get your milk tea fix. I'd skip out on the drinks here, but do try their food items. You'll leave stuffed and with a box of leftovers! ”
“ I'm so happy I found this spot. You can't get good 5 Spice Chicken at too many places in the Bay Area, but here you can. They also have another of my favs, Garlic Noodles, so "Say less!". The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The service is great. And it's a little hole-in-the-wall located in a lively area. It could use a refresh though. ”
“ Quick weekend afternoon late lunch for 2 around 2:30pm. Restaurant was about 1/3 full with a casual stream of to go orders too. Was able to order right away. Order from the counter in the back. Menu is available and you can step aside to look through it if needed. After ordering, grab a seat anywhere and the food will come out to you. Drinks are self serve from a fridge next to the ordering counter. Taiwanese chicken steak. Typically my go to, if not the five spice chicken. Can be ordered with white rice or garlic noodles. Also a few pieces of brocoli. Their garlic noodles are great but I opted for rice this time. The chicken is a huge piece, perfectly fried. Crispy exterior with very juicy meat inside. Comes with a red chili pepper powder you can sprinkle on the dish + a sweet and sour type sauce that pairs nicely with the chicken. Just under $20 for a dish that'll fill you up well. ”
“ The popcorn chicken I got here was super crispy and flavourful. it was the perfect snack/light meal. One of the best I've had and I'd get it again. ”
“ Chic n' Time lives in the heart of the lively Mission District. While the space may seem modest, I've never regretted coming here. Firstly, the staff has always been super kind and accommodating. Next, I really love the food. Their chicken is tender and juicy with the nice added texture of the skin still there. Next, both their noodles and rice are plentiful and accompany the chicken very well! In addition to these staples, you can also get rolls, vegetables, or pho, making this place one of my favorites. If you find yourself in the Mission looking for a good comforting meal, I highly recommend coming here! ”
“ Came here on a Thursday night and there were no issues finding a seat! Lots of seating and nice staff. Good: - I got the garlic noodles with BBQ chicken - definitely good portion sizes here, you won't be hungry coming out of it - I liked the crunchy texture of the BBQ chicken too - The vibe is very chill and we sat there for a while catching up - quiet inside Bad: - Took some time for the food to come out Overall was a really fun casual place to get a meal. It's not too expensive and the food is unique! ”
“ If I could give this business more than 5 stars, I WOULD. My friend and I decided to try out this place out because we were craving popcorn chicken, and while I only tried 3 items from their menu this time, there is no doubt in my mind that every item of their menu is going to be delicious. This is a small mom & pop shop, but I wish it was a franchise so I could have a location closer to me in San Jose. FOOD: 5/5 - Popcorn chicken was crunchy, tender, flavorful, and juicy. It also came with basil and a few different seasonings and chili powder so you can adjust the spiciness to your preference. I was craving popcorn chicken and this hit the spot! - Garlic butter crab with garlic noodles - I was SHOCKED at the generous amount of REAL crab. The noodles were bouncy and paired well with a creamy sauce, real crab meat, and chunks of garlic. Super flavorful and well worth the price!! - Vietnamese iced coffee - I'm pretty particular about Viet coffee and this place, of course, made theirs perfectly. It has the right amount of sweetness and creaminess while still tasting quite strong. SERVICE: 5/5 Everyone at this restaurant was so attentive and friendly! They really care about giving their customers the best experience! AMBIANCE: 5/5 The inside feels like any other boba shop or restaurant, but the quality of the service and the food is what makes this place special. :) I can easily say this is one of my favorite spots in SF and I will definitely come back whenever I'm in the area! ”
